Photographing the nude is as old as photography itself and with photography being more popular than ever there are 100's of photographers in your area looking for models to shoot.
A nude model can earn £60 per hour or more and being your own boss means you can book your shoots to fit in around job or family commitments.
Its difficult to know where to start but here at Nudecube we can offer you a complete starter package that will get you well on your way to your new modelling career. We provide you with....

During the photo shoot we will guide you through many poses giving continual posing hints and tips to get the best out of your images and its also a great time for you to ask as many questions as you like about being a model.

This complete package is available for as little as £50 which isn't much considering you could earn that back with your first modelling job.

Shoot Preparation

Shoot preparation - PLEASE READ

 

 

* First and foremost all models must be over 18 years old - NO EXCEPTIONS

* Photo ID must be shown to the photographer prior to the shoot.

* Nudity is an integral part of the shoot. If you want some nice fluffy photos to show your granny then there are hundreds of high street photographers that can do that for you. Remember - Nude doesn't mean rude, graphic or explicit, it just means nude.

* You have been asked to pay a non returnable deposit of £25 to guarantee your attendance to your shoot. 'No Shows' are unacceptable

* Although the booking time is two hours you will generally only be modeling for about an hour.  The remaining time will be spent explaining about the shoot and helping you start your career off in the best possible way.

* Bring a basic make-up bag - mirror, hair brush, eye make-up, a bit of lip stick maybe. Natural and neutral colours. Nothing major as just a little bit of make-up is required for the shoot.

* Nails - Please make sure your nails are neat and tidy and clean. They don’t have to be long and perfectly manicured but just well presented.

* Please do not put on any tight underwear as the marks left on the skin by bra straps and knicker elastic can take ages to fade away.

* Bring a big baggy jumper or T-shirt to slip on and off in between shots.

* Bikini area - This is completely up to you, these are your photos but as general rule completely waxed/shaved is best as the 'natural' look can often draw viewers eyes towards that area.

Last, but not least....

* Please turn up to your photo shoot with a smile

Canadian national womans ruby team release calandar

Similar to the my post about Maya Nakanishi, members of Canada’s national women’s rugby team have shot a calendar aimed at  raising a little cash ahead of the reintroduction of the sport into the Summer Olympics in 2016 whilst promoting positive body image of female athletes.
The 2013 calendar, Which can be purchased here was shot by fantastic photographer Darryl Humphrey and features 17 members of the team.

“Every woman on this team works so hard at being physically fit and eating properly,” Barbara Mervin, a flanker on the squad and spearhead of the calendar initiative, said in a news release. “It is a reward to have these pictures taken so we can see our bodies in a beautiful light.”

The calendar features tasteful black and white photos. It follows a long-established trend in fundraising amongst teams from a variety of sports.
In fact, this is the fourth time Canada’s rugby women have stripped down for a calendar. They did it for the first time in 2004.

The team has tried traditional fundraising in the past, from selling chocolate bars and T-shirts to searching for sponsors, but found this the most effective.
In addition to helping raise money for the women as they prepare for the 2014 World Cup in France and qualifying for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Mervin said the team is hoping to get beyond the “stereotype about what women rugby players should look like” and show their attractiveness.
“But having muscles is very beautiful and being physically fit is very attractive,” she said. “We are elite athletes and we are proud of our bodies.”

The team, which plays in both sevens and more traditional 15s, last month won the 2012 Amsterdam Sevens, defeating the United 26-19 in the final.
In the 2016 Olympics, the tournament will feature seven-a-side teams.
“Yes, sex sells but we hope to have a stronger message about body types,” Mervin said of the calendar. “We hope we can help young girls to know that you can be 170 pounds and be absolutely beautiful. We hope they can relate to someone’s body and see beauty in that.
“There is beauty in the athletic body and that is what we have tried to capture with the images.”

Spencer Tunick in Munich

Thousands of naked people took part in a mass art installation in Munich over the weekend of June 23rd and 24th.

The 1,700 volunteers were covered in red and gold body paint to take part in Spencer Tunick's interpretation of Richard Wagner’s opera  - The Ring.

For this shoot the, the thousands of Bavarians took their clothes off and become part of a work of art by painting themselves in the water based body paint before taking to the streets of Munich.

The shoot took place to tie in with the launch of a new production of The Ring by Andreas Kriegenburg and performed by the Bavarian State Opera

Its not the first time Tunick has worked in Germany.  He had previously shot at the Museum Kunstpalast in Dusseldorf in 2006.

As you read this, the finishing touches are being put together for a similar shoot in Tunbridge Wells over the coming weeks.  Less body paint but just as effective I'm sure!!

Teodora Stamenković nude artist

Teodora Stamenković - Zone Red

An artist in Serbia has made heads turn in central Belgrade after she performed her latest installation by walking through the city center slowly removing items of clothing...

Covered top to toe in only red body paint, Teodora Stamenković strolled the streets during her performance called "Zone Red"

I already have an idea for a similar piece on the streets on Tunbridge Wells. I wonder if the locals will be as tolerant...  Only one way to find out!

Maya Nakanishi nude calendar

This is quite a remarkable story.


Japanese Paralympic athlete Maya Nakanishi has released a nude calendar to help raise additional funds to get her to the London 2012 Paralymics this summer. 


Here in the UK, sponsorships and funding schemes like the National Lottery help many of our athletes prepare for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, but in some countries that funding isn't always there.


Its not as if the 27 year old ex tennis player is a complete novice, she won a fourth place in the Paralympic 200m in Beijing and a sixth place in the Paralympic 100m.  She also competes in the long jump but despite being so close to a medal last time around, she's struggled to get the necessary funding to compete at the major events around the world.


In a statement on her blog, Nakanishi said: "I don't regret having become nude. I'm very happy that I was able to show Maya Nakanishi as I am."

Nudecube Photo Project - At Home

A very simple project about people's attitude to nudity within their own home.

Shot in three or four areas of your home - front room, staircase, bathroom, kitchen etc with the aim of capturing the personality of model whilst also showing the feeling of being photographed naked.

Shot in colour and in Black in White.

Shoot will take about an hour and will be scheduled around your time.

Looks as if summer is finally here so lets get out of the studio and into the sunshine.

Will be shooting in woods, fields, beaches and other areas of natural beauty to create some stunning images.

Where possible we will shoot in locations near to you so your travel is kept to a minimum.

Looking to produce artistic images with an underlying bondage theme of fetish and restraint.

This project can be 100% anonymous as masks and hoods can be used to increase the feeling of fetishism.

ALL RESTRAINT WILL BE SIMULATED - you will still be free to move as the aim is show restraint not actually enforce it!

As with all shoots chaperones are welcome.

Andrey &Lili

The Russian creative duo of photographer Andrey Yakovlev and stylist Lili Aleeva create some amazing images.  Based in Moscow but travelling worldwide the pair work on advertising and fashion assignments for some of the worlds biggest brands.

This particular project named Silence is their take on the fashion nude.

Tree Spirit Event

Although this is definitely a project fro the summer months this great piece of work has started the ball rolling my very own Natural Landscapes project

Miss Chantilly Lace

Its not only photography that we do here at nudecube, we also dabble in the moving image too! Here is a video that I shot of a long term friend and burlesque and pin-up model - Miss Chantilly Lace

 

It took about an hour to shoot the video and a further couple of hours to edit all the takes together and to give final video a slightly vintage feel.

Its a great routine and if you want to see it performed live check out the monthly Burlesque Fever Show that Miss Chantilly Lace organises in Tunbridge Wells.  I'll see you there, at the front!

Photo Project - Masks

Everyone will be asked to design and make their own mask to use for their shoot.

If you aren't that creative then you can always head down to your local fancy dress shop and pick one up there.


The aim is to use the mask to show the models personality (so thats why a homemade one could be better!) whilst not showing their true identity. The mask will allow you to shed inhibitions whilst maintaining total anonymity.

Shot in colour.

You will receive 5 prints from the session in return for your time.

Photo Project - Urban Nights

Using the artificial light from street signs, bus stops, phone boxes etc to light the body.

Shot at night to create the greatest contrast between light and dark and to lessen the chance of being interrupted by Joe Public.

Shot in quite, less populated areas.

Shot in colour.

Shoot will take about an hour and will be scheduled around your time.

You will receive 5 prints from the session in return for your time.
